Corporate History

Securicom’s history reflects the rapid new developments in communication to enhance physical security, hence the name Securicom.

For the past 25 years Denis C. Vaillancourt, the President and CEO of Securicom, has developed security processes and systems for major corporations.

He was instrumental in providing security solutions to various organizations:

The Chinese government for the 13th Asian Games in Beijing
The Bank of China Head Quarters in Hong Kong
General Motors in Oshawa
2010 Olympic Skating Oval in Richmond, B.C.

Denis personally leads a highly effective team of professionals with a proven track record in Western Canada.

2003 - Securicom moved its operations to British Columbia in 2003 after operating in Ontario.

Vancouver was chosen as Securicom Solutions’ headquarters to take advantage of the rapid rise in the property development in the province.

Since 2005 - We completed work on over a dozen large residential towers in the lower mainland for Aragon Construction, Concord Pacific and the Onni Group and others.

We have also brought our networking and security expertise to smaller boutique projects like the Grand on Oak, Galleries at Garibaldi Springs in Squamish and the Varsity Condominium.

Since 2006 -We have worked with UBC Properties Trust to supply digital video surveillance for several of their projects in Kelowna and Vancouver.

2007-2008 - We helped Telus to deploy digital TV services by providing the network infrastructure to over 1,500 homes.

2009 - We completed work on the second largest home development in B.C. Suterbrook Village in Port Moody.

2010 -For the 2010 Olympics Securicom provided the City of Richmond with IP cameras to monitor progress on two major infrastructure projects: The Canada Line and the Richmond Olympic Oval.

We are now working with BC Hydro to secure lower mainland substations using state of the art motion activated wireless monitored digital video surveillance systems.
